By Road from the Skye Bridge ..... After crossing the now toll-free Skye bridge turn right at the roundabout towards Broadford and Portree. Continue on the A87 for 5.5 miles through Breakish (please ignore the first left turning to the Kylerhea ferry) and then turn left towards Armadale on the A851. Continue on this road for approximately 9.5 miles past Kinloch Lodge and Isle Ornsay. The right hand turning for Ord is about 2 miles beyond Isle Ornsay and then follow the winding single track road for 4 miles to the picturesque village of Ord. To reach Ord House please turn right at the fork and proceed through the village and Ord House can be found at the corner of the bluff overlooking the bay.
By road via the Glenelg to Kylerhea Ferry ..... Take the unique 6 car turn-table ferry from Glenelg to Kylerhea. The crossing is only 5 minutes over the Kylerhea narrows and runs every 20 minutes or so. Follow the steep single track road for 7 miles to join the A87, turn left and after 2.5 miles turn left again towards Armadale on the A851. Continue on this road for approximately 9.5 miles past Kinloch Lodge and Isle Ornsay. The right hand turning for Ord is about 2 miles beyond Isle Ornsay and then follow the winding single track road for 4 miles to the village of Ord. By Road from the Armadale Ferry ..... After leaving the ferry at Armadale turn right towards Broadford and Portree and follow
the A851 for five miles. This road takes you past the Clan Donald gardens and on through the picturesque Sleat villages of Kilmore, Ferrindonald,
and Teangue. Approximately one mile beyond Teangue take the left hand turning to Ord and then follow the winding single track road for 4 miles
to the village. To reach Ord House please turn right at the fork and proceed through the village and Ord House can be found at the corner
of the bluff overlooking the bay.

Planes, trains, buses and car hire ..... Ord House can also be reached by flying to Inverness and then travelling by bus or train to Kyle of Lochalsh. A number of budget airlines now offer
cut price flights to the Highlands from Luton, Gatwick, Heathrow and Bristol. Alternatively cars can be hired at Inverness Airport and the Isle of Skye
can be reached in two hours with a further 40 minute drive from the Skye bridge to Ord house.
